The iPad has gained enormous popularity since its launching (or even before it was launched). This portable device lets you do many things including e-mail checking, surfing the net, chatting with friends and playing games. Speaking of games, the iPad gives a new kind of experience with its wide touch screen. If you want to share the fun with your friends, you can do so with multiplayer games.

1. Fruit Ninja

Whoever thought that fruit-chopping was so much fun? Fruit Ninja proved just that. It’s undeniably one of the most popular games and now with the iPad, one can slice with increased precision thanks to its larger screen. The graphics are smooth and nice as well.

It also has Dojo unlockables which include new samurai swords and backgrounds. A good thing about customizing the background is to allow each round to have a different look. If you want to play with a friend, Fruit Ninja HD has a two-player mode.

2. MultiPong

The design is undeniably well done and of high quality, which is very pleasing to the eyes indeed. The board seems to be really made of wood and the paddles and balls are seemingly made of metal. It’s as if they’re real.

The graphics and animations are just great. To make the game more interesting, some effects are added such as an additional ball, a gravity effect and a cloud storm on the board.

A good thing about MultiPong is that it allows 4 players. This means that you can share the fun with 3 more friends. How cool is that?

3. Jenga

This game also has great graphics with its 3D real type physics engine thanks to Natural Motion. It’s as if you’re playing with real wooden blocks. To pull out a block, you simply tap that block, hold and drag out of the tower. You can control the speed of pulling as if you’re playing with real wooden blocks. As more pieces are being pulled out of the tower, it starts to be shaky and eventually collapses. The tower’s reaction to any action done would be similar to that of physical wood blocks.

4. Harbor Master

Quick reflexes and multitasking capabilities are what it takes to excel in this game. The objective of this game is to guide incoming ships into the dock. The challenge lies in guiding multiple boats that are continuously coming in and avoiding collision. As the game progresses, it will be a lot trickier.

To make things a little more complicated, there are two kinds of boats. One contains yellow cargo and one with purple cargo. Each has respective colored docks placed around the bay.

This game allows two players at a time. This is possible with the game’s multi-touch support. Also, the game is for free.

5. Air Hockey

Air Hockey is quite enjoyable. This is a great time killer for those who have nothing left to do. It has a sleek design and an extra-sensitive interface. It really looks like an air hockey table, and playing it seems like you’re actually using a real one. You can play and enjoy this game with a friend. The best part is that you can download this game for free.
