There is little doubt that even over the past decade the face of advertising and marketing has changed immensely. Where television, radio and paper advertisements used to be, the internet has stepped up to the forefront and is now seemingly dominate every other media. These days the internet is the first stop for people who are looking for information, reviews and details of products. The vast pool of information that is a few clicks away has meant that the amount of potential customers is growing by the day. Of course this leads to much greater competition between those companies looking to claim their share of the market. So how can you go about helping your website, product or company stand out from the thousands and thousands of websites already jostling for position? This is where the power of animation comes into play.

You are looking for ways to get people engaging with your brand so if you have a website which comes complete with slick and professionally produced flash animations, instructional videos as well as quality content which users can interact with. When all of these things combine it means that visitors will stay on your site much longer, giving them extra opportunity to discover more about your company. Just having a plain static website isn’t enough for a company website these days as the barrier to entry for creating a website is so low that pretty much anyone can get a simple site together relatively easy. You will need to work much harder in order to win over your potential customers. You will require a website which is not just visually appealing, but also aesthetically designed with the user in mind so that they will find the interface easy to navigate, giving a memorable and positive experience. Animation can be an extremely effective way of achieving this.

Various forms of animation can be used to demonstrate a particular idea. Alternatively, they can also be used in order to illustrate a specific concept which me help to capture the interest of users visiting your site. Your animation may take the form of a simple 2d animation or if your budget is a bit more generous you may extend it towards getting some 3d character animation professionally produced. These animations may be used in a film which walks through the main points you wish to convey or they could even be used as part of an application or game. The latter are becoming increasingly popular thanks to the likes of the iphone.

Although software such as photoshop and flash are relatively simple to use you shouldn’t fool yourself into thinking that you will be able to produce an animation that will do justice to your product or service. Whilst you may think that you may save a bit of money, in the long term you may actually end up damaging the way that your brand is percieved. It is important that you invest in the experience and expertees of a professional designer. A simple internet search will help you to find a suitable animation company or design agency who will be able to provide you with an animation within your required budget.
